GUEST SERVICE AGENT

Job Description:

As a Guest Service Agent, you'll be the heart of the guest experience - from the warm welcome at arrival to the fond farewell at departure. Your mission? To make every stay unforgettable by creating genuine connections and delivering those thoughtful touches guests didn't even know they needed

Responsibilities:

  • Guest Engagement & Check-in Excellence: Deliver a warm, professional welcome and ensure a seamless check-in experience while accommodating guest preferences and special requests.
  • Exceptional Guest Service: Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized ervice to enhance their stay and overall experience.
  • Hotel & Destination Expertise: Confidently promote hotel amenities and services, while offering knowledgeable recommendations about local attractions to create memorable experiences.
  • Efficient Request Management:  Promptly handle guest inquiries, requests,a nd concerns to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence: Complete shift checklists, document key information accurately, and facilitate smooth handovers between shfits.
  • Financial Transactions & Accuracy: Process payments, handle currency exchanges, and maintain accurate cash-handling procedures, including balancing a float.
  • Group & VIP Coordination: Manage group arrivals and departures accoding to group resumes, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
  • Sales & Revenue Enhancement: Proactively upsell hotel services, amenities and room upgrades to maximize revenue oppportunities.
  • Team Collaboration & Flexibility: Support the Front Office team with operational tasks, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Previous Front Desk experience preferred.
  • Valid BC driver’s license preferred.
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts, split shifts and holidays.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Professional appearance and excellent grooming.
  • A passion for Guest Service and a skill for anticipating guest needs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • A strong grasp of the English language in both verbal and written forms is mandatory.
  • Applicants must have permission to work in Canada.


BELL SERVICE AGENT

Job Description:

OPUS Vancouver is seekinga Bell Service Agent to be an essential part of our guest experience team! In this role, you'll be responsible for providing attentive, professional service from the moment guests arrive to the moment they depart. This includes retrievingguest vehicles, assisting with luggage transport and atenting to guest needs throughout their stay.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow departmental procedures for securing guest vehicles in the parkade, and accurate recording of guest vehicle identification.
  • Act as a first point of contact for concierge questions about the hotel and local attractions/activities.
  • Maintain an organized and clean lobby and public area outside of the hotel.
  • Drive guests in the hotel courtesy car to downtown destinations.
  • Anticipate guest needs such as opening car doors, assistance with wheelchairs, etc.
  • Educated and aware of all WHMIS standards and safe work procedures.
  • Trained and responsible for Occupational First Aid procedures.
  • Must be able to work shift work, including weekends.
  • Timely delivery of guests’ luggage, packages, mail, and any other items for delivery within the property.
  • Greeting guests by name whenever possible.
  • Assist with room service and banquet when necessary.
  • Assist the Guest Service Associate with operations at the Front Desk.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid BC driver’s license and ability to drive a manual shift (standard) vehicle.
  • A strong grasp of the English language in both verbal and written forms is mandatory.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Applicants must have permission to work in Canada.
