BARTENDER


Job Description:

Capo & The Spritz at OPUS Vancouver is looking for a Bartender. Are you creative, passionate and interested in curating an unforgettable guest experience? Work alongside our talented bar team at Vancouver's only spritz bar!

Responsibilities:

  • Confident in food, wine & cocktail knowledge.
  • Offer consistent and individualized authentic service to each guest.
  • Understand and implement efficient and effective problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Work as a team to clear and reset all tables to the Capo standard.
  • Has proficient cocktail knowledge, including basic classic recipes.
  • Well groomed, emanating genuine warmth and care to all guests.
  • Friendly and polite, creates a great first impression.
  • Able to communicate well with wide variety of people, adapting tone and building rapport with guests.
  • Outgoing and confident, comfortable promoting items and services.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have a strong initiative.
  • Strong customer service skills – able to exceed guest expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma, preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Serving It Right required.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Flexible working hours, able to work at least 3-5 shifts per week including but not limited to weekdays, weekends and holidays. 



SOUS CHEF


Job Description:

Do you have a passion for Italian cuisine? Are you interested in working for a Head Chef who puts people first? This may be the job for you!


Responsibilities:

  • Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure optimal efficiency and resource management.
  • Train new and existing kitchen staff on preparation, arrangement and plating of dishes based on the current menu.
  • Ensure the kitchen team adheres to culinary standards and regulations.
  • Design new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
  • Track, record and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Cross-train kitchen staff on multiple stations. 
  • Assist Executive Chef with pricing.
  • Implement quality control and other techniques to maximize distribution of food products.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in Italian cuisine and integrate this into our offerings.
  • Daily tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Proven organizational skills, works well on own and with others.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Previous Barista training is an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Must possess legal work authorization for Canada.
